Disgrace. Flat out. Maybe if the BCS didn't blow, it could've been USC-Auburn and been.. a game.

I place full blame on #1 on Oklahoma, the punt returner who majorly ****** that punt in the first half..

*hm, USC is about to down it, I may as well slap at it..*

yeah I didnt even see the point in this game being played after it was 35-10 in the first half what a stupid championship game.

Lsu vs Oklahoma was ALOT better

Yeah I was real impressed with that great #3 Auburn team when they let lowly Virginia Tech score 13 points in final 4 minutes. Really made them look like they belonged in the Championship game. Not.
Even the "can't win the big one" Sooners would have smoked Auburn.

number 13 isnt bad, and besides, had the AP poll still been in at the end Auburn would have been in the game. They had more top 10 teams beaten, more teams beaten by 20+ points, less games decided by 7 or less. Stat wise Auburn should have been in.

But for some reason everyone thinks the SEC is balls, go figure.

Your saying a 16-13 win over a #9 team is better than spanking a 12-0 team 55-19?
I'll let the Sooners vs. Auburn arguement slide, but USC was definelty the best team of this year.

This about sums up my thoughts, and I'm sending them along to Jim Rome in the hope he'll read this on tomorrow's show:

As I went to a small college I don't generally get into the whole college football thing. But I opted to tune into the National championship game in part because of the Matt Leinart interview you had a couple weeks back and the hope that it'd be a close game; in other words I bought into the hype.

I was enjoying things too until the halftime show. Ashlee Simpson made me want to find new ways to kill myself. I mean seriously, who stepped on the cat? Those groans at the end sounded like a seal in its dying throes and made me want to puncture my eardrums. I can't believe they have the nerve to call that "entertainment". I wanna know what idiot books these things, cuz newsflash: The 18-35 men that might watch American Idol aren't the same ones that go to or watch football games. Justin and Janet? Clarkson and Simpson? Correct me if I'm wrong, but we prefer stuff that rocks, or raps, depending on your taste. Not some hackneyed karaoke-lip synching-manufactured pop crap like that debacle.

Though I will admit I haven't had that much fun booing someone since last spring when the Pistons played New Jersey in the playoffs and William Hung was the halftime show. Only difference is he isn't billed as having any talent in the first place.

Unfortunately the substance-free pop conveyor belt has an inexhaustable supply of American Idols, Boybands, and Teen Divas. A pity indeed.
