Yeah man - I got a few mates who are gonna play aswell.

Dylan- I think your right about the date, I was gonna get the collectors edtion swell (u get the special pet ,so cool)

Hound - Im like some dirty old vet at this. years of Ultima Online hold me in good stead. this games very much like UO in a lot respects and bring my old guild leader and RL best mate (both vet UO players) over to WoW.

all im affraid of is how housing will work. its very important to the econemy of a MMORPG...

It will be nice for 'Dante' to ride again once more, a Proud and honest general who likes getting his hands dirty and isnt affraid to sacrifce himself if need be (which was alot) so paladin will suit him nicely.

Interesting to note the games already been hacked with various old skool UO style cheats like SPeed hack, bet we can expect 'morph' next...

Haven't really played any mmorpgs myself, actually. Let's wait and see if 10+ years of table top roleplaying experience is worth anything.

Impster - I'll gladly join your band then, what class / race combo do you recommend Hound and I play?

well after sifting through ever last bit of info I can get my hands on from the forums I belive a Paladin is a good solid choice which can party fight and solo when your mates arnt online, plus that means u can actually wander about and do stuff you like when not bored.

As you get more experinced mages of some sort are generally good.

But all of this is all knew to me, its just this game looks familar to me. its very odd to see that about 50% is based on UO. maybe even more, but its not implemented yet. essentially id feel comftable in the land of WoW.

Im happy to team up. the one thing I cant stress enough is these types of games are made better by playing with friends. its what makes them seem real.

Ive met alot of good friends via UO. lived thier real lifes with them almost everyday. and alas said goodbye to a few over time.
One im still worried about. was online one day, gone the next. never seen again. very scary considering we were talking 24/7 - still does my head in that.

anyhows, learning with friends is great. just simply walking around, and learning the world u now live in so exciting. cant wait!

As cliche as it may be, I'm looking forward most to playing a night elf.

The Druid of the Claw is my very favorite character in WC3, if only for his appearance and voice.

All the classes are well balanced. However like most DnD-esque fantasy RPG's, spellcasters are best in a supporting role, while the meat shields go first.

For a balance of the two (Magic vs. Hitting things with axes till they stop moving), Hunters, Paladins, Shamans and Rogues work out.

The game world is fantastic.

Durotar and the Barrens have this epic feel with huge open landmasses, while honorable orcs, trolls and Tauren banding together.

Tirisfal Glades (The Undead portion of the Eastern Continent) has an oppressive sickly feel to it. Very silent and one feels that something is inherently wrong here. Fantastic job by blizzard.

Stranglethorn Vale (Southern edge of the Eastern Continent) has an overgrown jungle feel in which terrible danger lies. I hate having to run through it since at any moment you will be ambushed from out of nowhere.

And the cities, oh man, the cities.

Orgimmar is just huge and beautiful, while the Undead Undercity in Lordaeron is a massive underground installation buried beneath what once was the proud capital of humanity in Lordaeron.

Thunder Bluff, the Tauren capital, is a monstrous city elevated several hundred feet above Mulgore on a huge plateau.

Finally, the ability to use Zeppelins and Wyverns (for the Horde at least) to get around quickly offers incredible views of the terrain from high above. Nothing like flying over a herd of gazelle while off in the distance two Orc Wolfriders patrol a highway.

Do you not dread the Harry Potter associations then? :p

Healer sounds pretty good actually. There was a druid kind of class right? Shapeshifting sounds cool too.

Man, I just can't wait to start on this game...

Good story. About your website I mean.

And I'm just glad you didn't spell it 'pheonix', like 90% of this planet do.

Question, as I've never played myself, can you guys in the UK for example play in the same environment as guys from the US?

Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.

The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

I dunno, cause you have the option of the North American server and a European Server when you create an account. I suppose you could, but updates may take a while as well as the time difference would be screwy.
