If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

This is now the third time I've been locked out of their dratted website- you have to enter three pieces of security information (the third one changing randomly) it's case sensitive and I'm fed up being locked out of it for getting a bit repeatedly wrong (usually the third one).
I wouldn't mind if the page were actually secure- but someone need only put a keystroke logger on my system to record all the passwords, because they are all just standard input from the keyboard!
So now, despite really REALLY needing to transfer money out of it, I can't until my new 'security pin' comes through the post. which given that its Christmas means I can expect it probably about new year's day.
And I just called and they can't transfer it via a phone call until the new security code comes out too.
Honestly, there's security and then there's just ridiculous inconveniences to a user. I shall also tell them so tomorrow when they're tech team gets in.
FFS.

i think a lot of bank sites are overly complex to create an illusion of security - i'm always getting locked out of my halifax one - which i don't use very often - HSBC's is ok.
tis irritating.

it's the illusion bit that gets me- the more passwords we ask for the safer the site is!! Right? ...Right...?

Now see I think this is the reason I'll never get on in the business world... I'm too truthful and far too practical.
Same reason they wouldn't let me work at PC world- I know what I'm talking about and am more interested in helping the customer get something suitable...
