I just saw the trailer on Film 04... oh my that looks freaking groovey, nice direction, cool colour lighting, Bale is a good batman me thinks... wicked!
I saw it, well, I saw half of it (and not either of the halves you'd think!*), and until I've seen the other half, I can't really comment on it. Looked a little like a blipvert** to me.
*Someone had punched in Ceefax page 606 and taken the remote out of the room!
**But without the exploding couch potato side-effect.

Re: Batman Begins
I watched Batman Returns last night - and then I watched the Batman Begins trailer twice.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:I just saw the trailer on Film 04... oh my that looks freaking groovey, nice direction, cool colour lighting, Bale is a good batman me thinks... wicked!
I even thought about making a Batman Begins thread
I hope the movie is long, at least two hours.
I really wanna see Batman and get to know him. Ghaaa
I really think Batman Returns is underrated (allthough I can see why people dont like it).
It's very very Burton-ish. And has alot of sexual.. tension.

I gotta say.. I feel more comfortable with Christopher Nolan, then Joel Schumacher.Computron wrote:In any case we're being promised The Dark Knight, and not Nipple Batsuits.
I've just read The Killing Joke.
Excellent stuff. Really interesting (I suck at reviewing stuff).
Next up: The long halloween
And how's Year One? Good, great, okey?

Better then The Dark Knight Returns?Ultimate Weapon wrote:Oh and "Year One" is probably the best Batman book out there!
Yeah, it looks more like a Bat-tank.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:that bat mobile just looks a bit over the top?
I mean all someones gotta do is drive down a narrow street - sorry a normal width street and u lost hi, unless Batmans up for driving over parked cars...
But here's my thought: He's new to all this hero-stuff. Maybe he thought "I'm a ******* hero. I want a big ass tank to scare the crooks!" or something.
I dont know. I think I sound rather silly to be honest

Man, I hate reading my own posts. I sound like a buffon.
Anyways... this is what the Scarecrow might look like in Batman. ('it's a walkie talkie by the way)
Scarecrow sketch.

Eh, I'm not digging it. Maybe in the movie he'll look cool and disturbing, but looking at that rather lame toy, and that sketch he just looks silly. It's like, what? A guy in a suite with a bag on his head? I get that every day here on TransFans, you know. I've seen better designs of Scarecrow. Luckily he ain't the main villain.

Reasonable enough. I rather dig suits though.Obfleur wrote:I read a post on another forum. It went a little somthing like this (Run D.M.C ) "This is just the beginning of Scarecrows carrer, bla bla.. thats why he doesnt have his full costume".
Muchas gracias to Mob for the Sig, proving why he's called 'King'.
The "i" in "Señior" from "Señior's Covenant" is intentional and part of a stupid & cheesy inside joke from '02. Thank you for your concern.

Re: Batman Begins
It's the only existing Batman film I really like—first one has too much devoted to setting the scene, everything after the second has been ****. I like the Batman concept, but find most of the villain roster disinteresting. The same goes for most 'hero' series.Obfleur wrote:I really think Batman Returns is underrated (allthough I can see why people dont like it).
Recurrent villains need a better explanation than perpetual escape from captivity.
