So it's partly my fault the series was cancelled.Brendocon wrote:It's part of why the film's called Serenity, not "Firefly: The Movie. Of the series. That was cancelled. And that you didn't watch."
Hope I can make it up by watching the movie...

My goodness, something I completely agree with you on Besty!Best First wrote:i have yet to see it* but reserve the right to kill for that statement.Brendocon wrote:Even incomplete, the first season is far far far better than the first year of Buffy.
cheers.

Oh, I won't dispute that. I chose the season 1 comparison because it's the only one that it's really fair to make. Both were the first year of a new series (okay, Angel was technically a new series to, but it was using already-established characters), and both only really had "half" a season.Bender wrote:I will admit that the first/only season of Firefly is technically tighter than that of Buffy, but then again that is to be expected. Buffy was Joss' first series, and there were definitely kinks to be worked out.
Eh. The central character is the least sympathetic as far as I'm concerned. At least by the end, anyway. Everybody else is great, though.Dylan wrote:Oh wait, tha'ts not true. I'm actually starting to like Buffy. Well, the series that is. The character is still quite annoying.
You've not seen the musical episode?!?Eline wrote:And the musical episode aswell, maybe some day soon?
What can we tell you without spoiling things? At the moment, nothing much other than that Fillion plays a villain named Caleb, a fallen minister.sprunkner wrote:Fillion's on Buffy?
Speaking as someone who is watching "Becoming," (the season 2 finale) tonight, what can you tell me without giving too much away? I love the guy. He's an amazing actor.
Will someone who lives closer than I do loan Besty a freakin' copy of Firefly so he can be cool?
That's nothing new...she's been a **** to every guy who has ever cared about her. She ignored Xander's feelings, pissed on Angel constantly, drove Riley back to the military and treated Spike like a pile of dog poo. Personally, one of my favorite scenes involving Buffy didn't even take place on Buffy. It occured in the episode called Sanctuary during Season 1 of Angel. Buffy goes all high and mighty on Angel for trying to help Faith and Angel gives her the greatest lines ever spoken to Buffy.Dylan wrote:Oh wait, tha'ts not true. I'm actually starting to like Buffy.
