Got it yesterday. have not had a huge amount of time to play it but have the following comments.

First mission, a bug in the game as my bmx refused to go up a hill. SHot and killed. Very annoying! Its also slow to start with, but i think you can change this as you develop CJ.

it seems to be lacking in any of the wonderful humour present in Vice City. Almost taking itself too seriously.

The language used is vile . I guess it depends on if you find the fact that black men are called 'niggers' offensive or not. The cops use it and the characters use it among themselves. I think it is totally unneccessary and I cannot stand that word in any context. Vice City and GTA 3 had a fair bit of bad language but it was more for comic effect

I find the hip hop rap setting a bit too much, I'm not really into that kind of thing so cannot relate to it at all. That isnt so much a criticism, more my personal taste.

Graphics wise its as godo as Vice CIty, almost identical, but there is lots of pop up, and the soundtrack is probablyt awesome if you like rap music, there is also alternative stuff for those who do not.

Overall im very unimpressed. At the end of the day it feels all a bit too familiar, and I just wanted to go back and play Fable and Pikmin 2 instead.

I'll be honest though, i have only played it for an hour or so which is not really enough to make a sound judgement on the game, but i feel no desire to go play anymore...

I've had fun with it so far, but it takes a bit to get into the good stuff of the game. The gym is a cool feature, as with a lot of the little extra things, like the video game system in his house, the basketball court, and fast food places.

Mine will arrive next week.

I'm hoping for a varied soundtrack and not a rap/hip hop bias.

Other than that, I just want to drive over people and shoot things.

GTA rules. It took some time to grow on me, but now, all I can do is think about playing when I'm at work and college. I think it's the variety of gameplay: You can work out in a gym, totally customize your look, date girls, compete in low rider exhibitions, dance in a dance club, I've been shooting off the back of a motorcycle while the driver is jumping off ramps, I've been working forklifts while the military is shotting up our van, I've been stealing things from people's houses. The variety is unprecedented, I think. The missions are more diverse, and the countryside is awesome. I haven't even got to the other cities, but I heard that they're just as chock full of totally new things to do that I haven't even seen yet.

Oh yeah, and one other thing, here's the only weird thing I found.

I jumped behind the counter at a Cluckin' Hut or whatever they're called. I was stuck back there, but I did notice that the backs of the employee's shirts said "TASTE THE COCK". Then I tried to jump onto the grill to kill myself, but I didn't lose life. I DID fall through the back of the wall. CJ yelled, "Watch out!", and then I fell for about 20 seconds in blackness, which then gradually turned to white and I slammed into it, dying instantly.

Just picked mine up-although why Woolies charge those of us who actually go into a store to buy it £7.99 more than those who order it online is beyond me.

Unfortunately, I was up all night keeping an eye on a poorly bunny, and the subsequent trip to the vets this morning has left me absolutely ******, so I really can't be arsed to play it yet.

Just had a thumb through the manual, and there's a 'BF Motors'-could it be that you are the Frank Butcher of San Andreas?

Yeah, it's kinda limiting. I'm sure that'll change in the future, though.

My CJ's shirtless, with tats, dogtags, green track pants, and a Fro w/ Beard.

I'm getting it this weekend. I can't wait. I loved GTA VC and I never beat GTA III but these are fun games. I love the idea of visiting 3 seperate cities and going in between highways to get to each new place. They really out did themselves this time. I hope to get it this weekend!! WOOOO! :D

This game rules. There's so much going on-it's going to take ages to see and do everything. :)

Some thing I am very much digging are: the ability to climb over (and up onto) walls, and the swimmin'. Little touches that make for a better game. :)

Yeah, the swimming's definetly cool. I don't think I really appreciated it until I had just slaughtered six extremely loaded hookers out on the docks, and when the cops came, I jumped off the pier to avoid 'em.

I think the only thing I didn't like at first, was that you now have to drive with the analogue stick-I prefer the D-pad. But it's only a minor complaint. :)

Loving it, yet stuck :(

SPOILERS!!!

I've done all the garage missions, + Jizzy, Zero, Mu Zi (?)...and there's nothing else 'missiony' on the radar except the driving school (which is ******* me off because the bit where you have to get across town and back in 120 seconds without damaging the car is nigh on impossible). There're no other symbols indicating a person-the only thing I remember is CJ arranging to meet his sisters boyfriend under a bridge by some docks (I think), but there's no icon to indicate where. :(

Edit: I've been ignoring the Triad symbol on the map. I've looked at it god knows how many times, and yet it just didn't sink in that it was a mission icon. Ah well, at least my stupidity forced me to get some truly horrible missions done first.
