If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Ergonomically terrific!
I also like the way you chose curtains instead of blinds. The latter is so impersonal. Bang up job.

Visually it's similar, but the code to integrate into phpBB was a rewrite.

Only if you have an OS and browser which is set to click every time you load a page. Yay for stupid Windows defaults.

So I'd assume there is no remedy for the screen flashes and clicks that occur when its reloading the page? Regardless, great job!

That's what I'm stuck with, sadly.

Control Panel > Sounds and Multimedia.
Screen flash depends on your system. I'm aiming for a rewrite which will improve things lots, but it's already better than phpMyChat in that respect.

Use a better browser, like Firefox

Yeah, that goes as a general recommendation. It renders things faster, has lots more useful options (pop-up blocking, etc) and isn't a direct route into your system marked "INFECT ME" for worms, spyware and nasty **** designed to steal credit card details...

I heard something about that
"Here it is, TFA, the first site ever with a chat.
Even IRC is based on TFA".
TFA must be very rich for inventing the site-chat-funtion.

i think TFA Tempest invented chat personally.
including the verbal form.
you owe your ability to tell your mom you love her to him.

Awesome!
On a more serious note; I am very happy with the new site. It looks, feels, and smells great.
It's much easier navigating etc etc.
Good work, I hope you are happy with it
Can't believe I'm still here.

well not of Ironhides tissue pile... which is good.
*Prods the pile with a long pointy stick*
Speaking of which, shouldn`t we call Rentokil to try and get rid of that...it`s getting ever so crinkly. Plus, I think I saw it move.

Any chance of the page getting a title (e.g. "TransFans | Chat")?
Looks a bit naff being the only page on the site with its url as its title.

Ah, but I was posting it from a non-Admin point of view. And it really is a minor point. didn't think it warranted its own topic, y'see?
Would it have been more obvious if I'd used an alt-ID instead?

Go to town on the frame page if you want.
You might even be able to fit one of the TF heads into the design, although things could get rather cramped.

Should be working again, plus there are a few improvements in there. Most important of which as far as I'm concerned is that the same code now works on two forum systems, but y'all aren't really going to see much of that side of things.
- refresh is a heap better
- that cutesy /me command does something
- list of who's viewing the chat
Any problems, please post them in here...
