So a bunch of stuff was revealed at Toyfair last night. Most notable was the announcement of Generations Metroplex. Based on the Fall of Cybertron version, he stands at 2 foot tall and is quite pretty!

Gotta mow some lawns or something. Gotta have 125$.

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

I'm very pumped for this year's Generations.

However, another year goes by where Hasbro completely ignores the Marvel Universe Death's Head they teased a couple of years ago. *sigh*

Know what's awesome? A few figures aside, I buy very few new Transformers figures. I buy reissues of G1 stuff, and I pick up a new figure (usually an Optimus here and there) but since my enjoyment of the property is based mostly on nostalgia, I don't buy the new stuff. I don't buy Generations. I don't buy Prime. I don't even buy the Masterpiece stuff. I like it all, and I think it's as good or better than the stuff I amassed while being more hardcore in my collecting, but I just don't want to buy it.

...with ONE exception. Legends! They're small. They're cute! They take up almost no space (either on a shelf or when stored) and they're so cheap, that even though my wife has NEVER given me **** over a purchase, I know they'll never be the thing that pushes her over the edge.

And Metroplex is, for all intents and purposes...a LEGENDS FIGURE! :) I can not wait to have that thing standing on top of a shelf with all the tiny little Legends figures scattered around its feet. That is gonna be SWEET!

Nyyaaaargh.

No space! No money! Must have!

Springer looks amazing, as does Trailbreaker. Plus that means we get Hoist soon right.

Metroplex... gotta be honest i am not bowled over - his trasport mode is loveley but the city mode looks a little feeble and his robot mode, well he just doesn't look robust enough to me. He's a bit skinny for a city IMO,.

Springer. Blitzwing. YES.
Metroplex IS LINED UP AS MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT. I NEED TO TAKE DOWN AT LEAST ONE SHELF TO FIT HIM OMG.
Trailbreaker will look very nice with my 'bots.
Megs is a definite maybe.
Shockwave, provided I can remove the kibble, is a possibility as that is a nice Shockers sans-spiky crap.

I like that Metroplex's city mode is still just a big robot sitting down.

Allegedly Sandstorm and Hoist are listed on Metroplex's box (presumably repaints of Springer and Trailbreaker).

You owned the 1986 one, right? This one's very true to the original.
Speaking of, he's also the same scale with regards to me, as the original was when I got him for christmas back then!

What the HELL MAN. After I got that other Springer, too. And Metroplex too, though that was less than ten years ago.
