With Nick Roche as writer and artist no less:

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Lookin' forward to this. With all of the quality product released by IDW, I'm surprised that we've never, ever, EVER had a Megatron solo book before. Maybe they were just waiting for the proper writer/artist to come along. After all, if, hypothetically, there were a book based on Megatron, in the wrong hands, it could have been so bad that it'd be sarcastically wiped from existence in comments published in another IDW book. Hypothetically.

Nice to see spotlights again. It's been too long. Some of my favourite IDW works have been spotlights.

Although the first of those two cover pics they have there looks like a poorly done homage to the US release of the original Mega Man....

Well it's hardly surprising that they've not found time for a solo Megatron book when they've only been doing Transformers comics since the January just gone (not counting the testing of the waters Wreckers mini-series of course).

There was no Mike Costa. Shane McCarthy does not exist. Eric Holmes was a lump of undigested cheese and of course Simon Furman retired from comic writing with dignity fully intact after Generation 2.

The thing that has me excited about these spotlights is that they were likely born more from a "Hey IDW, I have a story to tell, hook me up" request by Roberts/Roche, than IDW asking "We're planning on a Megatron spotlight, can you write one?" approach.

If James or Nick ask for something, IDW better damn well give it to them. No petitions. No crying fans. Just give them pen and paper and let it rip.
