Bugly jumps to mind right off the bat. The guy only got, what, ten lines throughout the entire Marvel run? I certainly don't recall him getting any real characterization, which I suppose was par for the course for most of the Pretenders. It's a pity, too, because even as a second-string character in...

Predaking? I don't think it's scientifically possible for anyone to hate a fictional robot more than I hate Predaking. Most of the characters who recieved a good amount of characterization have at least a few haters, I guess. The ones who've never done anything probably don't attract much attention...

Most of the figures I really wanted have been reissued by now (Prowl, Jazz and Magnus, to name but a few). I've picked up a few others on eBay, so I guess I've pruned my childhood want list quite well in the last few years. I suppose the only guys left are Swoop, Sludge and Scorponok...although the ...

That assumes that a TFs internal systems are similar to, and perhaps no more advanced than earth electronics. Well, yeah. If a TF's internal systems aren't analagous to Earth-based technology, it makes it a bit hard for us to discuss them. Besides, when we saw TFs taking serious damage in the Marve...

Sorry, but I find it hard to belive a metal robot, that needs some sort of high voltage current to operate, can be hurt by the very stuff it probably runs on. Computers run on electricity too, but try shooting one of them with an electropulse cannon... As long as the electricity being used to attac...

Re: Character discussion : This Week 'Optimus Prime!'

Does anyone really dislike him? I do. *dodges thrown fruit, garbage, shoes and knives* Actually, for the most part it's not the character I dislike. I dislike the way that, whenever he's around, he's always hogging in the spotlight. The TF universe has hundreds of nigh-untouched characters just wai...

Cheetor... My first instinct is to say that he's crap, because he really, really bugged me in the first season of BW. After that, though, he became gradually more and more tolerable. By the time BM rolled around, he was actually my favourite Maximal (though that was largely due to the fact that Rhin...

Megs is, I think, a good figurehead for the faction. His tactical sense seems to be lacking, though. On Cybertron, while he was the Decepticon Supreme Commander, he didn't seem to have too many troops with him. I get the feeling that he left matters of logistics, resources and whatnot to his subcomm...

Can't say I'm overly bothered by the alt-mode changes, either. I think they're unneccessary in some cases (A twenty-odd year old Datsun would certainly draw less atttention in my neck of the woods than a shiny new-model sportscar, and F-15s are still a lot less conspicuous than most of the new-era f...

Love the design. It's the most 'Megatronic' Alt Megs design I've seen so far. I think that his chest should be a bit wider, though. Especially since the kibble on his lower legs is so big. Oh, and I find it a bit hard to imagine Shockwave helping to revive Megatron. But that's just the comic fan in ...

Am I the only one that feels that Senior isn't the best TF-artist ever? I was always more of a Wildman-man myself. I think there's a flaw in that theory, though. In Rhythms of Darkness, when Galvatron was the more-or-less unchallenged ruler of North America and all but seven Autobots were dead, he was still crazy (not as crazy as he would later become, certainly, but not at all a stable personality). His ego was...

One major point: Red Alert is one of the Earthbound Autobots (as shown in The Enemy Within), so wouldn't be in Iacon for quite a long time. I tend to write that appearence off as an error, since it's the only time ever that we see Red with them. He's not with the Autobots after Ratchet revives them...

Here's a pencil sketch of Impactor. I usually draw squishies, so it's about the best I can do in an expedient manner. IIRC, the Ark's computer wouldn't recognise organic life because it had been damaged somehow in the four million years after creating the Dinobots.

Although, some of those must survive, as they're seen in post-movie stories. Not really. I mean, it's not exactly unprecidented for characters to get rebuilt after the fact. But then in G2 it's implied that he did take out all five Combaticons on his own in robot mode, with very little space for him to be a hot shot jet man...
