Re: Awfully quiet here...

Well that's all very sad but certainly understood as I look down and see mine own hands stained with the blood of being too effing busy. I missed the puerile anti feminist rants but Trump so more on the way. And I haven't read the comic since an arc or two after Megatron became an Autobot. Had a cha...

Re: Generations Stunticons & Aerialbots revealed at SDCC

LOL, just saw this, accidentally started up a thread in Toys. I think they're pretty awesome too. As I said in the other thread, Menasor looks a BIT crappy compared to the bad assery of Superion, but crappy in a Scramble City, retro way.

Generations Superion/Menasor

http://tformers.com/sdcc-2014-official-photos-of-generations-combiner-wars-stunticons-and-aerialbots/24273/news.html Well, those are pretty awesome. I like both how Superion is super bad ass looking and yet also how Menasor retains some Scranble Cityness. Apparently Barber, Livio, Scott, and Stone a...

I wish I could go back in time to like 1998 and tell my 16 year-old self that in 2014, the big movies were going to be: Captain America 2 Transformers 4 X-Men 7 Spider-Man 5 Godzilla 30(!) You'd never believe...you. Similar situation happened to me when I went to go see Godzilla with my Dad for Fat...

Re: Spider-Man lists for the List Guy

Yeah, I like all of JMS run, especially the arc where he comes out to Aunt May. I'm pretty sure this was post 2000: Slott's Spider-Man and Human Torch mini-series. Kind of gets lost now that it's not "Wow, I WISH Slott would get to write ASM" and instead it's "Oh, more Spider-Man written by Slot. Hu...

Re: South Park: The Stick of Truth.

Just recently played it and agree on all counts. Good fun, like a great episode. Would have liked it to be a bit more challenging, and it seems like it goes out of its way to NOT have replay value, but no regrets. My fav moment? A close second would be dressing up like a girl to go get an abortion. ...

- Humans, after having genocide committed upon them by identifiable Decepticons, make any kind of deal at all with Decepticons. True. So, now we have to deal with Remain In Light... And Dark Cybertron. Definitely in the top 5. Wait, no. I meant bottom. Bottom five. I always top when I mean to bottom. Uh... Hm, 5 worst TF comic arcs. That one's even harder to narrow down. Well, I just recently read AHM for the first time, finding ...

Don't really have much to add. Yes, it's awesome. Yes, it's the 2nd Golden Age. Yes, Roberts on Megatron excites all of us in ways that are too graphic for a family forum such as this. Re: RID Dawn of the Autobots #28 (Spoilers)

As someone who didn't read IDW from AHM - Chaos Theory, I was not looking forward to the return to Earth. Especially the human factor. So, with respect to the views already posted here, is it not conceivable that Auto/Decep factions distinctions are less important to the humans than "Megatron is bad...

Re: Game of Thrones (Not For Prudes/Boobies are bad mmkay?)

Ah. My interpretation was that you were discussing motive in the context of the recent murder. So then I have NOT been spoiled as to the murderer's identity. I still think it's Oberyn. My wife leans toward Old Lady Tyrell, but wouldn't that only complicate the Tyrell's attempts to get all up in the ...

Re: I like comics, How 'bout you?

I wouldn't say it was double sized, but it came with a epilogue and an add on Silver Surfer story and cost 5.99 instead of 3.99. It was pretty good, I suppose. You get good servings of Peter having to deal with SpOck's status quos and Goblin's reaction is priceless. My main problems were that A) the...

I was fine with it. Went in expecting very little. I enjoyed the whole "fresh eyes" POV, even if we all know who Screamer is. Like the CitySpeaker thing (Is this the first time in the history of TF that Metroplex has talked?), but I do hope that this isn't Screamer-centric. Fun times at the bar. Two...

Gah! Spoilers in the Stephen-King-Does-Not-Agree sense. Not so much the death itself, but to the culprit. Of course, what you've said could be written off as conjecture and theory in the name of Princess Bride Quoting. But when I binge watched Game of Thrones recently, I read this thread. So I knew ...

Yeah, I try to not look TOO closely at the previews, and I'm all for a TF comic that doesn't have to be serious or a TF comic that focuses on the hopes and dreams of characters, but I looked at Thundercracker writing a screenplay and all I saw was Skullgrin trying to be a movie star. It certainly was pretty sweet! And I'm with Ob as far as the Rust quote love. Things like: I think human consciousness, is a tragic misstep in evolution. Ah, whatever. Being an old man, and this being a complicated situation, I feel fine either A) fashioning a continuity I like and B) accepting real world factors. So Marvel US/UK are both in continuity, and if there's any contradiction, it's because one was made in the US and the other in the UK. Bea...

I'm just going to rant. You know the only way I can accept the whole "Shockwave finds the good in himself, remember me as I was" conversion is that the ores resurrected his old self or something. It was pretty good. Not great, closer to OK than great for me. Re: What's better than Dark Cybertron and out today?

Considering the series as a whole has seen Furman recycling lots of old ideas and that the "Crisis on Infinite Cybertrons leading to a reboot" idea was apparently the very first thing he pitched to IDW all those years ago, I'd say this is a good bet, though I would suspect what it actually revamps ...

Re: MTMTE #26 / DC part 8 preview

In terms of overall quality, DC is snugly underneath MTMTE and on top of RiD. To me, this crossover suffers a lot of the same problems that the Scorpy arc of ReGen did: things seem unfocused, things move slowly (although it's at a slightly more rapid pace now), and it seems like your attention is al...

Nice, heard about this on the Underbase podcast but hadn't gotten to see the covers yet. People who fight against same-sex marriage (people who are destined to be on the same side of history as those who sent wave after wave of men to die for the right of richer men to be able to keep slightly different colored people as property) do so in the name of "protecting the sanctity of marria...
