Now i am more than willing to accept that maybe IDW's editing is bizarre, but between that and this being a response to (some spot on) criticism i can't conjure another scenario. Can anyone else? I really think someone, Hasbro or Chris or both, mandated that the series be 1) reader friendly and 2) ...

for ****'s sake. m A mod--a guy I admired in the past--has now not only brought back up the issue of the Hasbro labor policies, but is insisting on the "hand that feeds" approach. At least Denyer is supporting the stirring up of trouble. Which may get us both banned, but hey, I'm not sure why I want...

Simon has freely admitted to being of the Chris Claremont school of writing, though I honestly think his writing has aged more gracefully.

So why aren't you doing the reviews for the site? It certainly needs them, and I can barely get the ones I get paid for in on time. I agree with you about Infiltration. I thought Infiltration and Stormbringer were both too flawed to start out a story. However, #6 still gets an A for me because it is...

I read this in the store and was also quite impressed--though whoever's pitching in on inks muddied up Guido's inks. I'm especially impressed because part of AHM is trading on some of Simon's stories, thus restoring what appeared to be previously broken links to earlier continuities. I'm also seeing...

gotta be honest Sprunk that was a pretty random opening post! thankyew! I aim to please. Quite honestly, one of the only reasons I've stuck around there was that a certain someone put out the false word that I had been banned. I read 8 in the store. Got to be honest, it won me over, though I still ...

They have promised a new direction. I really hate the idea, considering the old direction was pretty damn good. I would much rather have had them stay with what Simon was doing but "kick it up a notch," so to speak. Ditto what everyone said. I got to the point where I quit buying Dreamwave, too, an...

Sprunk, I lost any real desire to carry on a discussion on those boards when they banned negative criticism. There are some fans there that, as long as the IDW logo is stuck on the cover, will defend it tooth and nail. In other words, I don't feel like discussing things with people who wouldn't kno...

I am tired of flirting with banning/pissing off mods and by consequence pissing off Skwege on IDW. But if someone else wants to, go ahead. Yaya? It's a real dilemma if you want to collect the toys. I see no way to organize TF fandom enough to boycott the toys and do any real damage. It would be grea...

I'm so sick of seeing AHM stuff, all through this year. God.

AHM: Coda! Spotlights Cliffjumper, Drift and Jazz! All relating to AHM in some way. About the only thing I think could be untainted would be Metroplex.

Gahhh. Being a TF comics completist is really losing its appeal.

I remember rolling my eyes significantly at a few -ation passages of dialogue. What was that one between Jimmy and Verity--you know, the one that ended, "Oh yeah--freaks!" And then the horrible punning of Hot Rod and Wheeljack vs. the Headstreakers. "Dangerous curves!" But I think that a blanket app...

I thought Infiltration was way too slow--taking six issues just for Megatron to essentially thrash Starscream, no Autobot-vs-Decepticon mainstream conflict dealt with. It should have always been an ongoing series to deal with the multiple threads in Stormbringer, -ation, and Spotlight, but if that w...

McCarthy is constantly aiming higher than he can shoot, trying to run before he can walk - it reads like something you'd find in the third week of a creative writing class, with the tutor recommending to Shano, "Get the hang of more normal characters before you try to write a poetic military genius...
