Re: Lost Light #25 (in 25 issue limited series)
I thought a lot of it was hot garbage. IMO the book lost it's way a while back. I really lost interest, especially after the number reset / rebrand. It wasn't without merit, but soooooooooo much space wasted on uninteresting ****, like the two bints, amongst others. And **** me, the art. The first ...

Re: Lost Light #25 (in 25 issue limited series)
I had to read it twice to make sense of everything. And I did something I've caught myself doing many times during the run of this series, something I've very rarely ever done for other comics, reading certain exchanges out loud. I find it really heightens the emotional impact of certain scenes. It'...

Lost Light #25 (in 25 issue limited series)
The one page preview was posted last week. Review copies have been, well, reviewed. We're less than 24 hours away from the end of the road.
Hold me.

In which just about all the cards are finally put on the table.
While I'm sure they're not everybody's cup o' tea, some of these Indiana Jones-style fake outs we've seen over the last few issues are pretty fun.

Lost Light #22 (the mother of all spoilers)
There's a lot to take in here. So much so that I had to read it a few times to catch everything. Good ol' JR continues that "secret identity" thing that he has been so good at since Minimus Ambus. As folks have guessed, "Pharma" isn't really. Not entirely. And as it turns out, that was true of a bun...

Re: Lost Light #21 (spoilers)
So, upon re-reading the book... IS Megatron the Grand Architect? It's kind of ambiguous as that what's happening on those last few pages. The way I read it the first time, I thought that Megatron had wound up displaced in time and had been putting things together in an attempt to stop Unicron. But u...

I think I've been wrong with every prediction I've ever made about a reveal in MTMTE and Lost Light. But this time. This one time. Maybe this one FINAL time. I called it. I got it right. I've...I've achieved something!
...unless this turns out to be a fake out and it's really Shockwave.

The arm thing bugged me, too. But it's just the cover. The preview pages that have been released still show Rung missing his arm.

Re: Lost Light #20 (spoilers)
Agree. The Star Saber thing was super lame. Probably a victim of having to wrap things up quickly. And that was, well, as quick as it gets. Also can't figure out why Rodinus turned back to his original color. Come to think of it, cant remember why he was purple in the first place. Much prefer his t...

Lost Light #20 (spoilers)
OK.
This was a really, REALLY dense issue. A lot of stuff happened here. Most of it, I really liked.
BUT...I didn't care for the Star Saber thing *at all*. That put me *well* off. Even now, 12 hours removed from reading the book, that still sticks in my craw.
Everything else? GOLD!

Re: Lost Light #18
The more I think about it, the more I suspect that this issue was the result (victim?) of some pretty major rewrites. If I had to guess, it'd be that this issue probably had some changes made in order to get everything lined up for the upcoming series finale.

Um... Look. I get that there are still 7 issues left. I get that things that happened in this issue will almost certainly pay off before the series is over. I get all of that. I do. But, taken as it is. As not only the last issue of the story arc, but seemingly as the payoff (even if it does turn ou...

Re: Requiem of the Wreckers
I don't think I ever finished the previous mini, but I did pick this up...and freaking loved it. Although most everything about it suggests that the author went to IDW brass and said "Our big grand finale leaves these characters' storylines unresolved. I've got an idea for wrap 'em all up." to which...

I don't know what to say.
I liked it.
But I don't know what to say.
It's either strange in an all new and different way, or the mother of all bait and switches.

My prediction that the series is heading towards a conclusion seems to be more accurate than the predictions I made decades ago.
Super fun issue. Very self aware, but very fun.
Also, James Roberts looks to have been taken with the trailer to Death Stranding.

Re: Lost Light #14
Another crackin' issue. Buuuuuuut... I can't help but feel like good ol' JR is setting up for the finale. These last six months seem to have been wrapping up a lot of the loose ends that have been dangling since the early days of the series. The location of Cyber Utopia, the Lost Light itself, Tailg...

Re: Lost Light #13
Gotta disagree with Smooth on this one. It was a filler issue that once again focused on the lovey-dovey, touchy-feely aspects of the cast, which I have come to loathe. That's fair enough. I, personally, absolutely love it. Love it to the point where it's one of the things that keeps me interested ...

Re: Reissues?
With reasonably priced updates in the Legends, Combiner Wars and Power of the Primes line, as well as Masterpiece figures (usually) priced to move, reissues of 30 year old toys don't have the same appeal they once did. By way of comparison, I bought the reissue of Devastator a little over 5 years ag...

Re: The Last Jedi
I loved the part where Han and Leia are separated and their son impales Han with a light saber and tosses him down the shaft ( echoing, almost exactly, how Obi-Wan's mentor *and* Luke's mentor met their respective ends and Luke's a crotchety old hermit suffering major depression on some island ( un...

...and now the moment I've all been waiting for. JR is good. Damn good. And this book goes a long way towards showing it. Think it'll really hinge on what happens in the next issue, but this one was damn, damn, DAMN good. Creepy in all the right ways, and going all in on making Getaway a truly despi...

Re: I'm not enjoying Lost Light
When are they gonna get to the fireworks factory!?! The search for the Knights of Cybertron has now stretched for (including specials) something like 65 issues. Taking into account the few month gap between MTMTE and LL, that's nearly the ENTIRE length of the Marvel US G1 Marvel comic. And, for the ...
