| Annual 1985a: Plague of the Insecticons |
 | A meeting is arranged between Optimus Prime, Prowl, Warpath and President Reagan at Washington DC, but it is sabotaged by the Insecticons, who pretend to be in league with the Autobots to sully their name. Whilst Prowl and Warpath take them on, Prime goes in search of whoever is controlling them, and finds Ravage. Prowl gets a splinter grenade in the face from Shrapnel, and Prime sends Roller to help out. But when a cerebro shell meant for Prime hits Ravage, Ravage ends up under the control of Bombshell. But as Bombshell is already under the control of Ravage, the pair of ‘em are fruitcakes. The ‘bots then flee the scene, leaving the President to assume the worst. | more details |
| Annual 1985b : And There Shall Come… A Leader! |
 | Millions of years ago on Cybertron, the Decepticon forces have reached Iacon. Emirate Xaaron finally convinces the Council of Elders to pass full control of the Autobot army from the politicians to Commander Optimus Prime. Prime’s heroes meet Megatron’s rogues atop a Cybertronian expressway, and a bloody battle commences. But it is in fact an intricate Autobot trap, and the Autobots suddenly retreat and detonate the bridge. The Decepticons are crushed… well, apart from Megatron of course, who crawls out of the rubble swearing that he will never rest until he has destroyed Optimus utterly. | more details |

 | A strange power turns the Autobots into mean and nasty robos, and the Decepticons into kind and warm-hearted souls. When the effects of this wear off, both factions follow the power source, and are lead to England, where a new defence system is being tested. A bloke called Zeke steals the plans, and ends up commandeering Jazz. But when the human is snatched by Starscream, and Jazz fires a heat seeking missile at the Decepticon, Starscream transforms, leaving Zeke falling through the air to be hit head-on by the missile.  | Grimlock chops Megatron in half! Then Starscream nicks Megatron’s fusion cannon and blows Grim to pieces! Elsewhere, Swoop plucks Soundwave from the ground and parades him in front of the Decepticons. But rather than be humiliated, Soundwave activates his self-destruct, blowing both him and Swoop out of the sky. Meanwhile, Sludge has been reunited with the object of his affection, Joy Meadows, or so he thinks. She rips her face off, revealing an android underneath, and shoots him in the head with her eye beams. Snarl’s having equally bad luck – after knocking Guardian’s head off with his tail, he’s taken by surprise when the headless battle droid suddenly rears up and takes him out with a deadly punch. And as for Slag, he knocks Shockwave off a cliff, but whilst the Decepticon hits the rocks, Slag lands in a tar pit. The End. Well, not really. It turns out that the Dinobots are just dreaming, still in a coma after the events of the Dinobot Hunt. Good story though! | more details |

 | A flashback to Cybertron millions of years ago - Swoop was then called Divebomb, that is, until a Decepticon bests him in battle and steals his name to rub his nose in it. The airborne Autobot goes looking for a rematch, but gets a good pasting again, and is saved by good ol’ Optimus Prime. Fast forward to the present, and Swoop has found out that Divebomb is now on Earth, with the Predacons. He sets off to kill the guy that nicked his name once and for all… | more details |

 | The exciting conclusion to UK issue 120! Magnus apparently survived his fall into the volcano, by landing on a narrow ledge. He crawls out and takes on Galvatron again, for what may be the very last time! It’s the fight of the century, as the two Transformers tear into each other like crazy. Ultimately, Galvatron’s siphon overloads, and the volcano blows up, apparently destroying Magnus and Galvy in the process. | more details |

 | The Autobots began plans to build Autobot City: Earth. Whilst things are set in motion, Hot Rod’s stuck on Ark duty, but disobeys direct orders when he rushes to Kup’s rescue, who the Stunticons have beaten up to steal vital plans from. The Stunticons beat Hot Rod up as well, but it turns out the tape they up and leave with was a fake anyway. Sneaky. | more details |

 | The match we’ve all been waiting for: Megatron Vs Galvatron! Megatron puts on a good show, but ultimately Galvatron gets the upper hand, bruising Megatron’s ego along with his head. By the end of the contest, Megs’ respect for Galvy grows a bit, and whilst he doesn’t completely believe his claims about being a future version of him, he’s convinced that they should join forces for now… | more details |

 | Highbrow walks into a Decepticon ambush led by Scorponok. He puts up a good fight, but eventually falls under Mindwipe’s hypnotic spell and gets amnesia. Scorponok then tells Highbrow that he is a Decepticon and that the Autobots are evil. To further put Highbrow at ease, Scorponok introduces him to Lord Zarak, so Highbrow’s binary bonded nebulan partner, Gort, pops up to say hello. However, when disconnected from Highbrow’s body, Gort is free of the spell. He rejoins with Highbrow and is able to trick Scorpy and pull his head off. Ouch! | more details |

 | It’s the year 2510 and the Autobots finally win the civil war on Cybertron! But there is one last Decepticon alive – an undercover spy called Triton. Rodimus Prime announces at a briefing that he is passing the Matrix to Springer, but then Triton pipes up and says it should go to Magnus. Then events steamroll out of control: Whirl threatens Triton, Triton punches Whirl in the face, Roadbuster steps in to intervene, and Scattershot shoots Roadbuster. After a shocked silence, Sandstorm then shoots Triton! Next thing we know… the war starts all over again, but this time its Autobot against Autobot! And Rodimus has a little cry.

| Annual 1989a : Destiny of the Dinobots |
 | Snarl has a deadly disease. The Dinobots have brought him to the Savage Land, in search of the shuttle that took them there millions of years ago, as on board is a special crystal that will be able to store his mind and temporarily spare him from the debilitating illness. They come across a load of mad dinos, and other sick ones. When they reach the shuttle, they have to fight against its weaponry, and when they get inside, they find a palaeontologist who explains that the crystal is keeping the virus affecting the local wildlife from spreading. So instead of taking the crystal, the Dinobots use it to transfer Snarl’s mind into that of a stegosaurus. Then they head off to find him a new body. | more details |

 | Dreadwing crashes in the Atlantic Ocean, and the Autobots send an expedition to retrieve an important nebulan power cell that will help cure a sick human. But they have to fight the Seacons first. Prime and the Autobot Powermasters tussle with ‘em whilst HiQ gets the cell (he punches out Hi Test and Throttle in the process). The Autobots get off lightly in the end when the Seacons have to save the Dreadwing nebulans from drowning! | more details |
| Annual 1989c : The Chain Gang |
 | Skullgrin, Bomb Burst and Iguanus are stealing fuel from an oil rig, but Cloudburst, Landmine and Splashdown arrive to spoil their day. When in the ensuing skirmish a plane is hit and starts hurtling towards the rig, Cloudburst and Bomb Burst have to join forces to bring it down safely, otherwise everyone gets blown up! Once the crisis is averted, the ‘bots show their gratitude my arresting the ‘cons and taking them off to trial. Spoilsports! | more details |
