A battle on Cybertron goes badly for the Autobots, and Optimus Prime and his warriors are forced to flee from Megatron's Mini-Con enhanced Decepticons. Meanwhile on Earth, a bunch of kids inadvertantly awaken the Mini-Cons there after discovering their ship in a cave. A signal is automatically sent to Cybertron, and Megatron teleports to Earth immediately! Thankfully, Prime is not far behind, and engages Megatron in battle. This gives the Mini-Cons the chance to explain to the kids (Rad, Carlos and Alexis) that they ran away from Cybertron millions of years ago to avoid being enslaved and retooled by the Decepticons. As Megatron (with the help of his Mini-Con augmentation) beats the crap out of Prime, the other Mini-Cons tell the kids that they dare not interfere...

Though Brawn gets a few good licks in, Starscream quickly gets the better of him, and appears to destroy him.

The rest of the Decepticons join the fray and start hunting Mini-Cons. The Mini-Cons still don't want to help Prime (who is still getting kicked in by Megatron) but Rad chastises the Mini-Cons, telling them that running for their lives forever won't get them anywhere. Rad then interupts the Prime/Megs fight, offering the Decepticon leader a deal. Seeing the boy's bravery stirs the Mini-Cons into action, and Prime uses the distraction to summon reinforcements from Cybertron. However, the Decepticons still have the upper hand with Mini-Con power at their disposal. This leads to the other Mini-Cons powerlinking to Prime, Hot Shot and Red Alert. This evens the odds and eventually sends Megatron's bunch of loons packing.

Meanwhile Brawn is revealed to be alive, having proved his loyalty and saved by Mirage's holographic powers, which were increased by the initial electrical accident.
